(This note is not part of the Regulations)
These Regulations revoke and restate the provisions of the Charges for Residues Surveillance (Amendment) (Wales) Regulations 2025 ( S.I. 2025/260 (W. 54)) (“ the 2025 Regulations”). Regulation 3 revokes the 2025 Regulations to address an error which is contained in the Welsh equivalent text.
Regulation 2 restates the amendments made by the 2025 Regulations.
The Welsh Ministers’ Code of Practice on the carrying out of Regulatory Impact Assessments was considered in relation to these Regulations. As a result, it was not considered necessary to carry out a regulatory impact assessment as to the likely costs and benefits of complying with these Regulations.
1990 c. 16. Sections 45(1) and (2) and 48(1) of the Food Safety Act 1990 were amended by paragraphs 7, 8 and 20 of Schedule 5 to the Food Standards Act 1999 (c. 28)(“ the 1999 Act”).
